- Matt Downs proved persistence pays when he downed a huge 11-point trophy buck in Bossier Parish on Nov. 20.
- Cody Brown of West Monroe harvested a 9-point trophy buck on Nov. 12. in Madison Parish between Tallulah and Waverly.
- Erath outdoorsman Haiden Richard won the 86th annual World's Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Arkansas, on Nov. 27.
- Randy Wall, a carpenter who lives in Downsville, took a trophy 10-point buck at his hunting club in Union Parish on Nov. 11.
- The field for the 2022 Bassmaster Elite Series tournament trail has been announced. Five Louisiana anglers have qualified for the circuit.
