- Cody Brown of West Monroe harvested a 9-point trophy buck on Nov. 12. in Madison Parish between Tallulah and Waverly.
- Erath outdoorsman Haiden Richard won the 86th annual World's Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Arkansas, on Nov. 27.
- Randy Wall, a carpenter who lives in Downsville, took a trophy 10-point buck at his hunting club in Union Parish on Nov. 11.
- The field for the 2022 Bassmaster Elite Series tournament trail has been announced. Five Louisiana anglers have qualified for the circuit.
- On Oct. 17, 2021, Tyler Bowen took an outstanding 10-point buck with a Mathews Mission Maniac bow on family-owned land in Catahoula Parish.

- Tyler Roberts of Gonzales shot an 8-point deer that weighed 260 pounds and scored 140 in DeSoto Parish on Nov. 21.
- On Nov. 3, Richard Hennigan, who hunts on family land in Concordia Parish, harvested a giant 11-point buck.
Hot Spots - January 2022
