According to Capt. Adam Jaynes, Sabine Lake has intermittently delivered good trout over the past three falls despite freshwater inundation by rainfall and storms. When wade-fishing the flats on the Louisiana side of Sabine Lake in the fall, anglers have chances at 3- to-5-pound fish and ones even larger.
