Hammer public lands buck goes down on Tensas NWR

Big Madison Parish 8-point scores 140 inches

After six years and plenty of long hours up in a tree, it all finally paid off for Chris Long.

Long busted a big 8-point public lands buck on Dec. 4 at the Tensas National Wildlife Refuge in Madison Parish.

According to a forum post from pollyp07, the big deer had a 20-inch spread and tipped the scales at 258 pounds with a rack that green-scored 140 inches.
