Tying drop-shot rigs this way resulted in tons of speckled trout

Drop-shot rigs elevate soft-plastic baits off the bottom, holding them in the strike zone of feeding speckled trout. Capt. Justin Bowles has discovered a unique way of tying them, and it’s been paying dividends for him, but never more so than on a trip he and I took to Venice, at the mouth of the Mississippi River.

We caught really nice speckled trout almost every cast, and left them biting. Check out the video for all the details!
