Tip of the day

Bulky saltwater corks provide a lot of wind resistance, both when running or trailering a boat. The constant beating from the banging cork can damage line guides on fishing rods.

“I’ve had corks knock an eyelet completely out,” Chaumont said.

He has a simple and inexpensive solution. He simply uses a wooden clothes pin to clip the wire rod through the cork to the rod itself. It works and lost or damaged clothes pins can be easily replaced.
