It feels like just yesterday that Louisiana bowhunters headed into the field in early fall to kick off the 2024-25 deer season.
And it didn’t take long to put some truly incredible bucks down, chief among them the amazing 14-pointer shot by Tyler Jordan at Honey Brake in Catahoula Parish on Dec. 5. The buck measured a gross score of 203 inches and could be Louisiana’s new state record for typical bucks.
As of Jan. 13, Louisiana Sportsman writers covered hunts on 32 big bucks statewide, with 25 of them scoring at least 150 inches — and 18 of those hitting the 160-inch mark.
