It’s official: Spring has sprung.
Some people get clued into that by noticing buds on azaleas, pollen covering their cars or bird nests in potted plants.
For me, it’s when speckled trout enter one particular pattern — setting up in bayous to feast on young spring bait stocks. They’re always joined there by redfish and flounder, and if my most recent trip is any indication, it’s going to be a banner year for the latter!
