Every year, this is the best month for getting up on flats adjacent to deep water, and throwing jerkbaits to line-stripping speckled trout. This week, I did just that with my favorite jerkbait I’ve ever run across, a Bill Lewis Scope Stik.
After loading the boat with specks, I ran into the marsh, and caught a variety of fish, with one particular species providing the best action I’ve seen in years!
