Everything ate this Zimmer Swimmer

What’s the difference between a mediocre trip and a great one? Often it’s discovering what the fish want to bite.

That was illustrated to me this week for the millionth time when I set out to see if I could find any marsh bass, despite the high salinities the Louisiana marshes are currently experiencing.

I started with a lure that’s a mainstay for me this time of year in an area I thought would be productive, but failed to attract even a single bite.

So I moved areas and changed lures to a candy-bug Zimmer Swimmer, and that’s when I found what I was looking for plus a whole lot more. Check out the video for all the details!
