Bailey Legler, 13, was fishing with her papa, Mike Legler of Slidell, on July 1 when she caught her first alligator gar with shrimp on Lake Borgne. The gar measured in at 42 inches.

While fishing in Golden Meadow, Angela and Cuz caught more than enough fish for supper.
