Lake Borgne speck

EJ Russell was having a rough morning under the Trestles on Nov. 7. The trout were eating all of the live shrimp and not making the legal length. The temp was around 44 and a little north wind as well. The tide was falling hard, which we hoped would bring on the big trout bite! The morning didn’t start well for sure, but EJ requested they move to edges of Lake Borgne and his first cast with a 3″ HH cocahoe (with a spinner) produced this beautiful trout and they ended up with several nice trout and a few reds too.
