Tommy Vidrine was at it again this week busting speckled trout around Grand Isle, specifically in the surf on Elmer’s Island.
On Wednesday, he shot this video on the west end toward Fourchon, and reported lots of specks and beautiful green water.
Free-lining with live shrimp and croakers was the key to the bite, he said.
The only way to drive to Grand Isle is by way of Highway 1, and it allows fishermen to access the area’s bountiful waters.[…]
