Binoculars are essential equipment

Essential equipment for squirrel hunters who may or may not use a dog includes a good, quality pair of binoculars.

During the winter, when leaves have long fallen from the upper canopy, tree branches still create shadows that limit light and the ability to see savvy well-hidden squirrels.

Bushnell’s 10×36 Legend Series binoculars might be the perfect size and power for squirrel woods. At just over a pound, they are lightweight and easy to carry in a backpack, hunting vest or large coat pocket.

The binoculars use ED prime glass, which stands for extra-low dispersion whereby fluorite glass aligns colors to meet at the same focal plane for higher resolution and clarity in low-light conditions.

In layman’s terms, they utilize available light better, are tack sharp and perfect for studying tree branches to find well-hidden fox squirrels.
