Help Sky High for St. Jude fund St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Sky High for St. Jude is a volunteer organization that raises money on behalf of families undergoing treatment for pediatric cancer and other life-threatening diseases at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The organization’s mission is to bring the community together to fund research, provide comfort and save lives.

The organization was founded by Brittany Hebert, an Abbeville native and former Miss Acadiana.

The inaugural Louisiana Sky High Sporting Clay Shoot in 2007 raised more than $50,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in Memphis, Tenn., and the events continue to this day.

Today, Sky High for St. Jude hosts four major sporting clay tournaments and concerts in Louisiana, Texas and Pennsylvania.

The organization’s clay shoots and live auctions help raise money for a wide range of initiatives. For instance, Sky High in 2010 donated $250,000 to renovate the kitchen at the Ronald McDonald House in Memphis, where Anna received much of her treatment.

The organization accepts donations, sponsors and volunteers for their events scattered throughout the year.
