Same show, new location for the 44th Annual Louisiana Sportsman Show

The original, highly anticipated Louisiana Sportsman Show is in a new location for 2024! This year, the one and only Louisiana Sportsman Show will be held at the Raising Cane’s River Center in Baton Rouge March 1-3, offering more indoor space than we have had before. There will be lots of special events and treats. Show times are Friday, Noon – 7 p.m., Saturday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The show is once again presented by Shell.

The annual Big Buck Contest will return. This year the categories are Best Louisiana Gun, Best Louisiana Bow, Best Out-of-State Gun, Best Out-of-State Bow, Best Muzzleloader/Black Powder and Best Youth. Deadline for entries is Saturday, March 2, at 3 p.m. All entrants can send in a photo with their buck for a chance to be on the cover of Louisiana Sportsman magazine in the fall of 2024. The Big Buck Contest is sponsored by Louisiana Land Bank.

The Hawg Trough, America’s No. 1 Pro fishing attraction, will be at the show with its 4,000-gallon tank full of fish. We will have fishing demonstrations scheduled throughout the show.

The Wetlands Watchers will be back again this year after a highly successful debut last year. The Wetland Watchers bring an opportunity to touch and learn about animals native to Louisiana. The students invite young and old alike to hold baby alligators and learn more about preserving the fragile Louisiana ecosystem. They will be at the show on March 2 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The Baton Rouge Zydeco Ice Hockey Team will kick off their spring season Friday, March 1, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 2, at 7:00 p.m. immediately following our show. The team plays in the Arena of the River Center. Come check out our show and stay for the game.

We have partnered with several hotels within walking distance to the River Center that have given us great rates for the weekend, including free parking. There are also many great restaurants in the area within walking distance to complete your visit.

Vendors from across Louisiana and other states will be on hand as usual, offering great deals and a look at the new and exciting products out there on the market for sportsmen. Make plans to come join us at the one and only Louisiana Sportsman Show, where you know you can count on us to put on the best show possible.
