Kentwood couple cited for possessing undersized speckled trout

40 trout under 12 inches onboard vessel, LDWF says

Agents with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries cited a Kentwood couple today for alleged fishing violations in the Gulf of Mexico along the beach in Jefferson Parish.

Chad Terrebonne, 30, and Nicole Terrebonne, 29, were in possession of 49 speckled trout, of which 40 were undersized, LDWF said.

The legal minimum size limit for speckled trout is 12 inches.

Possession of undersized spotted seatrout brings a $100-$350 fine and up to 60 days in jail.

The couple could also face a civil restitution penalty of $28.97 per undersized fish, according to the news release.
