These fish will pull you all around the lake in your plastic boat
When the waters way, way inside along the South Louisiana coast get to their warmest levels of the year, king-sized jack crevalle move in to feast on abundant baitfish stocks.
Some anglers curse the jacks, because they can really wreck a speckled trout or redfish party.
Others, however, take advantage of the opportunity to use their offshore gear and tackle, and relish in the relentless battles.
Mitchell Rogers fits into the latter category, and late last week, he took Capt. C.T. Williams and me along to the south shore of Lake Pontchartrain to see if we could find a big one to give us a Cajun sleigh ride.
