A lifelong angler and hunter, Jared Serigne started his career as an outdoor videographer, regularly filming industry titans like Greg Hackney and Don Dubuc. But a couple years ago, Serigne launched the @outsidethelevees YouTube channel, and discovered he was equally adept in front of the camera as he was behind it.
His channel has exploded since then as he’s taken viewers from around the world deep into the marshes and swamps that lie outside Louisiana’s levee system.
This week, Serigne invited me to tag along with him. The plan was to catch catfish close to a popular Delacroix marina, but things don’t always go according to plan — sometimes they go better!
