If you’re looking for a speckled trout that will rip drag, snap your rod and growl at you when you get it in the landing net, this popular port isn’t for you. Or at least it isn’t right now.
But if you want nonstop action on fish that simply can’t resist a cork-suspended TKO Shrimp, I can’t think of a better place to go.
I made the trip down to the marshes of Southeast Louisiana this week to fish with Capt. Zach Hartline, and we easily found speckled trout whose level of aggression belied their stature.
