Massive cats from the Mississippi River bank

This time of year, the Mississippi River gets low and slow. That concentrates the fish, and inspires everything to bite, including the monster catfish that live in absolute seclusion most of the year.

This week, I brought a couple of big rods to the river bank, and toted along some fish heads from a recent trip to see if I could catch a cat or two. Let’s just say the fish cooperated!
