Catching keeper specks at night in Lake Pontchartrain

Watch as I use artificial lures to catch a limit of speckled trout under dock lights in Slidell.

The tide was falling all day long and the fall bite was ramping up when I decided it was time to hit dock lights on Lake Pontchartrain for some excellent nighttime speckled trout fishing.

It took a little moving around and one set of lights was even turned off on me (bummer, dude) but I was able to put 25+ keeper specks in the boat.

The greatest challenge of a fishing trip like this is not the fishing trip itself (as I’ve done this many times before) but recording in the dark.

Unfortunately, not every fish caught was done so under good lighting, but I was able to make the best of it and produce a video you ought to enjoy.

There’s a few good fishing tips in here and, as always, watching a little bit of catching is always fun!
