Dale Fowler had his hands full with a lunker bass that bit on a watermelon/red Strike King Shim-E-Stick on March 21 in Slaughter Creek at Toledo Bend.[…]

Andre Weber holds an 8.50-pound bass he caught while fishing March 22 in Lake Fausse Pointe. Weber is having a heckuva month. In early March he caught a 5 1/2-pounder, his previous personal best, in Sandy Cove, a notorious spawning area in the lake. On March 19, he caught a 7.25-pounder along the levee on a spinnerbait. Three days later this 'hawg' bit on a Strike King Hack Attack Jig while he was fishing with his brother and their grandfather, Larry Ransonet. All three bass were released. A bass estimated between 81/2 and 9 pounds made Jarrod Derouen’s day when he caught it on March 7 in a borrow pit in Lake Fausse Pointe. The New Iberia angler was flippin’ a junebug Zoom Baby Brush hogs in and around brush when the brute bit.
