Eleven-year-old Mac Pardue poses with his first turkey taken at the Kisatchie National Forest on opening day of youth season. He used a 20 gauge franchi on the 20-pound gobbler with a 9-inch beard.

Grady Hill, 9, killed his first turkey in West Feliciana Parish on April 3, 2021, while hunting with his grandpa, Bruce Dodd. The gobbler had an 11-inch beard and 1-inch spurs.
