Tournament bass anglers speak their own, unique dialect. From talking about missed fish to bemoaning lockjaw, it’s sometimes funny to hear them. Especially when those sayings are replayed in isolation.
And they’re heard over and over during every stop on a tournament trail — no matter how small or large the circuit.
This video, which includes Bassmaster Elite Series pros like Pierre Part’s Cliff Crochet and Ott DeFoe and Bradley Roy, captures some of the strange things uttered before, during and after events.
Crochet is even shown chewing on his boat’s steering wheel gripping that fish aren’t biting.
One pro is even caught in a classic statment many pro anglers use after missing a a hookset: “That was a big one!”
