Kinler caught tagged red in early June north of Grand Isle
It was a big night last Thursday for the 2018 CCA Louisiana STAR Tournament winners, who collected their boats and prizes at a banquet in Baton Rouge at Live Oak Arabians.
But Gary Kinler left with more than a brand new 21-foot NauticStar.
The Luling angler was the first Louisiana Sportsman magazine subscriber also registered for the STAR to reel in a tagged redfish — and he collected a cool $10,000 for his efforts.
His wife Stacey actually caught a tagged red on Grand Isle four years ago and was in line to win a new Chevy truck that year — but wasn’t registered for the STAR.
