If you’re a bass fisherman and have ever dreamed of competing in the Bassmaster Classic, the opportunity to take a first step toward that goal has arrived. Registration for the 2011 Bassmaster Central Opens begins today (Nov. 29).
The Central Opens comprises three events, with the winner of each event moving on to the Bassmaster Classic in February 2012.
The first wave of registration, stretching from today through Thursday, is open to BASS life members, BASS Federation Nation members and subscribers to BASS Insider. All other BASS members can begin registering on Friday.
Anglers can register as pros or co-anglers.
The three tournaments are:
• Feb. 24-26 – Lake Lewisville in Lewisville, Texas
• April 28-30 – Table Rock Lake out of Branson, Mo.
• Sept. 8-10 – Arkansas River out of Muskogee, Okla.
Anglers not interested in fishing all three events must wait until Dec. 14 to register.
