USA Today offers gun-ownership poll

Round out your duck season right by targetting wood ducks using these “out of the box” tactics.

Mainstream media outlets rarely address gun ownership in a positive way, but a new USA Today poll actually asks what readers believe the Second Amendment means, the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance announced today.

The group pointed out that the Second Amendment is vitally important to America’s sportsmen.

“This is especially the case today as all firearm owners constantly face legislation in Washington and state capitals seeking to constrain our constitutional rights,” the gun-rights group said in a news release.

This online poll from USA Today, one of the leading news providers in the country, has surfaced a number of times online. Despite being around for three plus years, the poll asks a tremendously important question, “Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?”

The poll currently shows the vast majority of participants believe gun ownership is a constitutionally protected right.

“Thus far more than 7 million people have responded with the overwhelming majority voting yes,” the Sportsmen’s Alliance reported. “As legislators in Congress and the states come back into session, this is a good time to express your opinion about our right to keep and bear arms.”
