Buck refuses to leave downed doe, charges hunters.
What do you do when you shoot a nice deer and a second rack buck refuses to leave? That’s the decision that faced some hunters who decided to video the confrontation.
The video (which is attached to this story) begins with a hunter walking past what appears to be a nice management buck toward what looks to be a hammer 8-point.
“It’s kind of standing its ground,” one of the hunters can be heard saying. “Just keep a tree close to you.”
That advice turned out to be sage wisdom, although the deer allowed one of the hunters to walk to within a couple of steps before reacting.
