2014-15 Nikon Big Buck Contest kicks off

Monthly prizes, Nikon grand prizes up for grabs in photo contest

Louisiana Sportsman’s annual Big Buck Photo Contest kicks off Oct. 1, and Nikon is back in the game as title sponsor.

Hundreds of photos of bucks were posted to the online contest last year, so it’s a great place to brag about that big kill while competing for monthly prizes.

Each month, site administrators will choose a winner from photos entered that month.

Monthly winners will receive a free one-year subscription to Louisiana Sportsman magazine and a $25 gift coupon to the online Sportsman Outdoor Store.

At the end of the contest, which closes out Feb. 15, there will be a random drawing of all entrants — no matter how big or small the buck pictured — for the Nikon binoculars. And Nikon will once again be offering two pairs of ‘nocs, so two lucky users will earn these high-quality optics.

The contest is free to enter, and all registered users of LouisianaSportsman.com are eligible. Only photos of deer killed this season will be considered.

If you are not a registered member, just log onto the site and click on “Register” under the “Home” tab.

Once registered, just log onto the contest page and enter your photos. Enter as many photos of deer kills as you’d like to up your odds of winning.

But remember: This is a photo contest, so be sure to take your time capturing a memorable image — and set your camera on the highest resolution possible to provide us with a printable photo.

You never know when editors will feature your images in the magazine — and maybe even on the cover.
