Boeuf WMA reopened

It’s the holiday season, and that means Calcasieu Lake speckled trout are hitting the hard stuff.

The Thanksgiving hunts are on again at Boeuf Wildlife Management Area after the public tract of land was reopened today as floodwaters receded.

Floodwaters in northeast Louisiana have continued to recede, alleviating any safety concerns on the WMA in Caldwell Parish.  All previously scheduled activities are once again open to WMA users.

Please consult the 2009-10 La. Hunting Regulations pamphlet or the on-line version available via LDWF’s Web site (http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/hunting/regulations/) for more information on seasonal hunting dates and regulations.
