Tropical storm warning issued from Grand Isle to mouth of Pearl River
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries announced the temporary closing of Elmer’s Island on the southwestern tip of Jefferson Parish.
According to a press release, Elmer’s Island will remain closed until further notice.
The National Weather Service in New Orleans on Friday issued a tropical storm warning from Grand Isle to the mouth of the Pear River, according to the release.
