Warming water temperatures are like nature’s clarion call to crabs, letting them know it’s time to stuff their crustacean faces with whatever edible they can find. To make that easy for them, I like to drop chicken or turkey necks pinned to the middle of ring nets that will eventually prove to the crabs there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
This week, I took my daughter Taylor along for the fun. She’s been crabbing with me since she was a wee lass, so she’s got the technique down to a science.
