May 26 — CCA STAR Tournament kickoff. Runs through Labor Day. Again this year, there are fly-fishing east and west divisions for heaviest speckled trout. Also, a consolation drawing at the end of the tournament for all trout weighed in the fly division. For details, go to http://www.ccastar.com/.

May 26 — The Camp Fly Fishing School – Advanced Clinic, The Camp Facility, Breaux Bridge. Time: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Price of $135 includes full-day instruction, lunch, refreshments and handouts.
