Gonzalez-Ibarra cited for allegedly possessing 26 undersized black drum
A 34-year-old Galliano man was cited Saturday for allegedly possessing 26 undersized black drum on the Pointe-aux-Chenes Wildlife Management Area, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Rufino Gonzalez-Ibarra was ticketed for possessing over the legal limit of black drum, possessing undersized black drum and also for possessing one undersized redfish.
An enforcement agent allegedly found Gonzalez-Ibarra in possession of 26 black drum and one redfish, all of which were under the minimum size of 16 inches, the release states.
Possessing over the legal limit of black drum and possessing undersized black drum and redfish each bring a $100 to $350 fine and up to 60 days in jail for each offense, according to the release.
