Hackney works the pilings for some nice specks on Sportsman TV tonight at 6:30 on CST
If you plan on fishing Lake Pontchartrain in pursuit of speckled trout this month, check out tonight’s episode of Sportsman TV for fishing tips and lure suggestions that will help you put more fish in the box.
In “Lake Pontchartrain Monster Hunt,” host Greg Hackney teamed up with Capt. Scott Walker and Get U Some Fishing Charters and headed out to the Causeway on a foggy morning in pursuit of trout, flounder and drum on the pilings.
Hackney had success using Strike King’s KVD Perfect Plastic Swim’n Caffeine Shad soft plastic lures, and with Walker’s control of the boat, also caught some nice trout trolling with Strike King’s Red Eye Shad lipless crankbaits.
Before they headed back to Dockside in Slidell, they finished off the day with some nice bull reds under the birds.
Sportsman TV airs on CST every Thursday night, as well as Saturday mornings at 8:30 and Sunday mornings at 9.
