Victim fell out of boat while attempting to tie off at pier, LDWF says
A 57-year-old Youngsville man died Sunday morning when he fell off the bow of a boat while attempting to tie off to a pier in West Pass in Cameron Parish, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Clint P. Guillot died in the accident, which happened about 7:30 a.m. near Oyster Bayou, the release states.
Another person in the boat got Guillot out of the water and brought him to the shore for medical treatment, but emergency personnel were unable to resuscitate him. He was not wearing a life jacket when the incident occurred, according to the LDWF.
