Alexandria man died in Lake Buhlow Thursday, LDWF says
The body of a 62-year-old Alexandria man was recovered Thursday afternoon after an apparent kayak accident, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
Agents are investigating the death of Philip Brandt III after his body was recovered in Lake Buhlow near a red kayak, according to a press release.
Boaters in the area located Brandt’s body around 4:30 p.m. and called for help, the release states.
The kayak and a paddle belonging to Brandt were found about 100 yards from his body, according to the release. He was not wearing a personal flotation device when his body was recovered.
