Joel Masson and I decided to do a cumulative-weight challenge — weighing every fish we caught — with the winner earning a $50 gift card to Puglia’s Sporting Goods. But there was one caveat: It was an afternoon trip, and all fish had to be caught before the sun set.
Complicating that time limitation was a hellacious traffic jam that really delayed our launch time.
Still we ended up catching a bunch of fish, and having a great time.
