We caught 32 crappie with this technique!

I love catching crappie, but strictly target the fish this time of year when they’re up shallow and easy to catch. Nearly 100% of the time I fish for them, it’s with a micro-jig suspended under a cork.

But on my last trip, I tagged along with Madisonville angler Jeff Bruhl, and we targeted the fish by casting and retrieving, and man, not only was this technique effective but the fish ABSOLUTELY SMASHED our jigs! I couldn’t believe how hard they hit!
