Two lures produce nine species in one area!

Bycatch is not generally thought of as a positive word, but in the marshes of South Louisiana, it very often is.

That was certainly the case during a fishing trip my son, Joel, and I took Friday. We were targeting the speckled trout that are moving right at this very moment toward the coast to spawn, and we certainly had success with them.

What we weren’t expecting, however, was the crazy variety of fish we caught on the trip.
