Last week, while on another fishing trip, Capt. Justin Bowles and I pondered about some out-of-the-box areas that might be holding some fish, and one of the destinations that came up was the stretch of power lines that are strung like endless Christmas lights across western Lake Pontchartrain.
Neither of us had fished the stanchions that support these lines for many years, but we decided to go check them out in hopes of doing battle with drag-stripping redfish.
