In the wintertime, when Mother Nature has sucked most of the white shrimp out of area marshes, speckled trout really key on baitfish, and that makes this primetime to throw twitch baits.
This week, my buddy Capt. Justin Bowles and I took the Avid to a community hole that stacks up with specks this time of year to see if the fish wanted our hard-plastics. Happy to report, they did!
