“Plan Redfish” saves the day

When the speckled trout won’t cooperate the best thing you can do is roll to your “Plan B,” and my Plan B is “Plan Redfish.”

I had launched from South Shore Marina in hopes of finding a decent speckled trout bite in Lake Borgne.

But, after checking a few spots and having less than stellar results at one, it was clear that a speckled trout bite probably wasn’t going to happen, so I made the move to find five keeper redfish inside the famed Biloxi Marsh.

Plan Redfish is a great backup on any inshore fishing trip because they are relatively easy to find in the protected marsh and are almost always shallow.
