Addie Musso, 8, of Plaucheville and her dad Dustin had been after this buck for a few weeks. On Oct. 16, she had her first opportunity at the buck. She took aim with her crossbow and let the arrow fly. The shot was low and just barely grazed the buck below the vitals. To their surprise the buck returned the next day, but Addie was in school. Fast forward 6 days to Oct. 22, the buck appeared in front of her again just after daylight. She had a second chance! This time the arrow hit its mark. The 238-pound 11-point ran about 50 yards and fell over in the thicket. The buck green scored 141 6/8 inches, he sported 5 4/8-inch bases.
