The most popular fish species in North America is crappie, and more anglers reach for Bobby Garlands to fish them than any other brand of soft-plastic lure. The company offers various iterations, all designed to do something a little different in hopes of drawing strikes from the tastiest fish in fresh water.
With crappie season now upon us, we wanted to see which would give us the most confidence over the coming weeks, so we set up an underwater camera in a pool, and worked the lures in front of it. What we found was eye-opening and will certainly impact our lure choices this spring.
