Catch and cook: This bait whacked specks on ledges

Earlier this week, I woke up and discovered conditions were marginal, at best, but I really wanted to go fishing. What do most people do when that’s the case? They go fishing.

That’s what I did, and man, the wind was stronger than a construction worker’s underarm at the end of a long summer shift. Fortunately, the direction was a good one, and the water was as clean as I’d hoped. Finding a productive pattern was only a matter of time.
