October fishing has been excellent in Venice, Louisiana. Despite some wind and rain, we’re finding good numbers of speckled trout along with plenty of redfish throughout the marsh. As the Mississippi River continues to fall, I expect the inshore fishing to get even better over the coming weeks.
Offshore, when the weather gives us a window, we’ve been catching yellowfin tuna and amberjack with plenty of fall variety available out of Venice.
