Bradley Strother, 13, along with his dad and grandpa, were catfishin’ on the Red River near Alexandria on Jan. 30, 2021. They caught a few earlier in the day, but around 10:30 a.m. they caught an almost 81-pound blue catfish with a 6500 Abu Garcia reel, 7-foot rod, 40 pound test, and cut up gizzard shad. They then turned it loose.
