Jax Matherne from Houma and his grandpaw, Larry Huddleston, went fishing for pre-spawn bass in Theriot, La., once the strong winds had died down on the morning of Feb. 24. They picked up this nice 3.5-pound bass, along with several other smaller bass on skirted spinnerbaits in clear water that was about 2-3 feet deep.
This was Jax’s first official bass fishing trip by boat with his grandpaw, and his biggest bass to date.
