Water temperature is the main driver of success during wintertime ventures in the marsh. Low temps, or those that are cooling, will usually drive fish deep, while those that are relatively warm or rising will allow fish to move up shallow to feed.
On my latest trip, water temps were down, and that significantly impacted where the fish were holding and how they were behaving. Fortunately, I was able to figure it out and have a great trip!
